想去西海岸旅游，有人能推荐一下路线么？

大家好，想去西海岸玩3天左右，希望有旅游经历的人能帮忙提供一下路线，还有沿途有什么好看的好玩的东西~
从hobart出发打算到strahan,我看网上说有个henty沙丘的地方，请问具体是个什么东西还有位置 谢谢~

I would not recommend you to go to Henty Dunes if you are not an experienced 4WD driver. You need to have a really powerful 4WD, another 4WD travelling with you and recovery tools. If your car gets stuck in the sand, the other 4WD can tow you out.

However, rather than driving into the sand dunes, you may park your car nearby, walk into the dunes and do sandboarding or toboggoning there. From Strahan, take Henty Road, then Zeehan Strahan Road. The dunes are about 11km north of Strahan.

If you have a 4WD, I would recommend you to take the Ocean Beach Road and drive south along the beach to Macquarie Head and get back to Strahan on the Macquarie Head Road.  There are whale carcasses dotted on the beach.  You have to drive there; it is a bit to far to walk.

If you plan to drive on the Ocean Beach, let me know and I will share some safety tips driving on a beach.

I assume you are travelling from Hobart. Take the Lyell Highway (A10), which will take you all the way to Queenstown and Strahan.  Near Hamilton, you may make a side tour to the Nelson Falls in the Mount Field National Park if you have not been there before.

Half way between Ouse and Derwent Bridge, you will first get to Wayatinah, then Terraleah.  They each have an operating power station and they are open to the public during normal office hours.  It is quite educational visiting a power station.  If you want to see only one of them, Terraleah is certainly the one to go.  In the power station, ask the staff there if you can go into the turbine hall.  There you can sense the thundering noises of the generators in operation.

Just before you get to Derwent Bridge, visit The Wall in the Wilderness (http://thewalltasmania.com/contact.html).  I have not been there but people I know who have been there all said it is highly recommended.

After Derwent Bridge, you will get to the Lake St Claire National Park. If you are interested in bush walking and have time, you may have a short walk there. National park entry fee applies.

Half way between Derwent Bridge and Queenstown, take a short walk to the Donaghys Hill Lookout (http://www.tasmaniacampers.com.a ... /donaghys-hill.html).  

Past Gormanston (a small town before Queenstown), you will see a hugh stone monument on the left hand side of the road. Make a right hand turn into the small road facing that monument.  It will take you to the Iron Blow.

Keep going on the Lyell Highway to Queenstown. (I am not going to tell you what to see in bigger towns like Queenstown, Zeehan and Strahan as you can easily google to find out what are interesting.)

If you have time, take a side tour via the Zeehan Highway (A10) to Lake Margaret Power Station and Zeehan.

The woodstave pipeline is quite unique. The pipeline is not historical anymore as it was rebuilt last year but the walk is certainly scenic.

Then keep going on the Zeehan Highway to Zeehan. In Zeehan and if you have a 4WD and if you dare, try the Spray Tunnel http://www.realtasmania.com/topic/554-the-spray-tunnel-at-zeehan/).

Take the Zeehan Strahan Highway to Strahan, you will pass the Henty Dunes and the Ocean Beach.

If you don’t have time, from Queenstown take the Lyell Highway (B24) to Strahan. From Strahan, it is easy to get to the Henty Dunes and the Ocean Beach.

In Strahan, it is worthwhile seeing the Hogarth Falls at the People’s Park (http://www.westcoast.tas.gov.au/ ... es/HogarthFalls.pdf).

It could be tricky driving on B24 in particular when negotiating the bends.  Drive slowly and carefully.

If you like fishing, the Macquarie Head is a good place to go. Get there via Ocean Beach around the time of the highest tide. Stop at where the fresh water and salt water meet, marked by blackish, brownish currents. A friend of mine caught a 2-3 kg salmon there in Feb. You don't need a license for line fishing on the shore, but you need to bring your own fishing rods and lures.

Is your car a front wheel drive or rear wheel drive?  If you have a manual, low ratio front wheel drive and if you drive slowly and carefully and take a shorter route, it should be fine.  What sort of car do you have?  Are you going fishing there?  Or do you want to look at the whale carcases?  If it is the later, we were there in June and there was not much left to see. I did not even bother to take photos.

Thank you so much! We haven't rent a car yet. What are the most exciting places in Strahan then? Another question, if we go to the Cradle Mount, should we enter from Derwent Bridge or Shelffield? Since our planned route is Hobart--Strahan--Cradle Mount--Launceston, can we enter the Cradle Mount somewhere between Strahan and Launceston? It's very kind of you, and thank you again for your helpful tips!!

If you are renting a car, you have to be really careful. In most, if not all, car rental contracts in Tasmania, you will void your insurance if you drive on gravel roads. In this case, Ocean Beach is out of question.  When you plan your routes, you should avoid gravel roads too. Excess on collision damage waiver is generally over A$3,000 and I strongly recommend you to pay an additional insurance to lower it to $0 or a few hundred dollars.  This insurance is pretty expensive but it is worth it for the peace of mind.  

For your routing Hobart - Strahan - Cradle Mountain - Launceston, the best route will be Hobart - Derwent Bridge - Queenstown - Strahan - Zeehan - Rosebery - Tullah - Cradle Mountain - Sheffield - Railton - Launceston.

Strahan is a pretty small town. If you just want to walk or drive around, half a day is good enough.  Most tourist attractions are dotted along the Esplanade.  There they have a gallery showcasing and selling Tasmanian timber products.  If the weather is good, I highly recommend taking the sea plane (but the ticket is very expensive) to see the Gordon and Franklin Rivers.  You cannot get to this part of Tasmania by road.  The only way to see this wilderness is either by air, by boat or on foot.  The river cruise is slightly cheaper. I have done both. Both were memorable but I like the seaplane experience better.

Zeehan, Rosebery and Tullah are fairly ordinary.  Past Zeehan, you will see the Renison Bell tin mine, something interesting to spot enroute to Cradle Mountain.

Sheffield and Railton are two small towns of character.  After Railton, if it is before 5pm, the Ashgrove Cheese farm (at Elizabeth Town) is worth a visit. http://www.ashgrovecheese.com.au/whereshop.html They offer free cheese tasting and their cheese products are good.

Make sure you check the weather forecast before you go.  The west coast is the wettest part of Tasmania.
