The accident occurred when a white Hyundai sedan collided with a furniture delivery truck.
The injured woman was trapped as a result of the impact and had to be cut from her vehicle by the Tasmania Fire Service's Road Accident Rescue Team.
A WOMAN has been taken to the Launceston General Hospital in a serious condition after a crash on the West Tamar Hwy this morning.
Emergency services were called to the Trevallyn scene just after 9am.

The woman, the Hyundai's driver, was trapped as a result of the impact and had to be cut from her vehicle by the Tasmania Fire Service's Road Accident Rescue Team.
No one else was injured and the disruption to traffic was minimal.
