YHA or International Student Card

A matey is coming to Tassie for traveling in Jan.  Which card works better in TAS or even in AU? YHA or international student card?

international student card I prefer as you may receive various discount, like ticket or accommodation.....

YHA is not the best choice  in that there are also lots of cheaper accommodations available in TAS, even I've got one and only ues in Syd and Mel.

So your saying that YHA is a better choice in MEL and SYD though international student card is good for traveling in TAS?
