It shouldn't be too difficult to find accommodation in Launceston although there aren't a lot advertised in youtas.com. Be in Launceston 2-3 weeks before uni starts and there will be advertisements in Uni. A carer position should not be too difficult to find in Launceston. But i'm not sure how it is now as there seems to be an increase of students vying for a job in the nursing homes. Send your resumes 1 month before uni starts eg: around mid January. Remember to put your reply address (any friends' address in Launceston) as it'll be one of their considerations. I worked as a carer in casual employment at Mount Esk Nursing Home in St Leonards for 1 year while i was studying there. They will also prefer you to have your own a vehicle unless there's someone to drive you there. Good luck studying in Launceston ! |
