I went to a friend's holiday house in Kayena. They were very kind to treat us to a sumptuous lunch and dinner. We went fishing at the private jetty after lunch. The family's great, great grand father came from China in the mid 19th century during the gold rush and they still keep some of the old potteries from China from those days.
Going fishing on the jetty
A Chinese jar of over 150 years old, now used as an umbrella stand
A very old iron (probably from England) now used as a book stand
An antique gin bottle from China
Tamar River
Tamar River and the Batman Bridge (pronounced as bat-men, named after John Batman, not the Batman in movies)
A flathead my friend caught. My friend and my husband altogether caught about 6-7 fish (all flathead) but we kept only 2 because the rest were a bit too small and were put back into the water. Legally, one is not allowed to keep flathead under 30cm.
Just like me, these two birds caught nothing
