GBOB

简介：The Global Battle of the Bands (GBOB) is an international Battle of the Bands competition, where bands from many different countries compete in original live music performance. It that was held for the first time in 2004 and the prize is 100,000 American dollars pack, the GBOB special gold trophy, the chance to go on a world tour and the title of "The Best New Band In The World". (WWW.GBOB.COM)

There are only two overall rules for the competing bands: No cover songs and no pre-recorded songs. This is because the competition is made to encourage creative musicians to perform their music.

GBOB 是全球最大型的现场乐队LIVE！比赛。这个比赛只有一个主要规则：只能演唱原创歌曲！目的是要鼓励玩音乐人可以努力创作！

塔洲唯一华人乐队-Hotkings将参与这乐队比赛。2010年Hobart比赛站将在The Republic Bar举办。

Hotkings 乐队与上周五早上在ABC Radio 现场演了3首歌，两首原创一首翻唱歌曲，获得广大hobart市名的一致好评，特别是获得了现居hobart的前美国著名乐队The Volent Femmes bass手Brian Ritchie的高度好评。并在上周六World Party Tasmania的演出中成为几乎全场最亮的亮点。

Hokkiens 是福建的英文翻译。

HOTKINGS 是HOKKIENS的音译，比较容易写和直译。

YEEHA! HOTKINGS 今天晚上的GBOB乐队比赛顺利过关，进入TOP3，将在十一月中旬参加下一轮的比赛，
